While the hardware is largely identical, the power connector has been changed from USB-C to a standard barrel connector and the Google “G” logo has changed from a simple sticker to a letter molded into the plastic of the device’s housing. The relaunch of Google Wifi back in 2020 brought some minor technical changes along with a lower starting price.
